Evernote - Notes Organizer App Reviews

After hearing hype about Evernote for years, after reading through their marketing copy on the Evernote website and here on their special green App Store page, Evernote disappoints. Notes cant merge, Scannable isnt OCR, the app is buggy, and other services / functions that have been thought of and implemented by other apps, lacking the hype of cloud services, are not offered by the Evernote app. The main failure of Evernote is that it doesnt deliver what it claims to do: take ones thoughts and findings on a project and smoothly integrate these bits into workable files and seamless collections.

The watch application doesnt show more than 4 documents, which are limited in wordcount, else is fine

When you playing music on Apple Music, you cant create new list or new note.App is suddenly closing.Fix it please.

Notebooks I have marked for offline are not syncing. This app needs to be reliable to be effective and unfortunately it is not. Whats more according to the Evernote forums, this bug is 18 months old.

The new restrictions with max 5 emails per basic account are unforgivable. Its insufficient. They want to force you to buy more expensive subscriptions... :-(

Very often app simple doesnt sync which makes it almost useless.

I like Evernote a lot! Using it for private stuff and for work, and it just works. Organizing and finding what you need is easy. I was using couple of other planners and organizers for iPad before, but eventually moved it all to Evernote - much more convenient. I am in fact using Evernote Plus for 50 PLN per year, and if fits all my needs.

You cant change font size in app, its hard to work when you have to enlarge text all the time.

I am using Evernote with Premium subscription. It is usefull and the app ecosystem around Evernote is great but I dont really enjoy using the app itself. The app is overloaded with unnecessary features, heavy, slow and difficult to use. The basics functionality (editing text or drawing notes on images) never really works well and/or is difficult to use (like icons too small or too many items in menu). So I am mostly exporting notes from web, Sublime Text on Mac or Drafts4 on iOS or Instapaper or ... and try to stay away from Evernote app when possible. I find the comparison of Evernote to Lotus Notes (if you are old enough to remember it) quite on target.

I have never read that Evernote is a "trial application". Why do you change terms and conditions when many free users got addicted to this application? Horrid practices! I will uninstall Evernote ASAP. And I really hope many others that like me feel betrayed will also do it.
